3D Scene Understanding

3D Scene Understanding is a core Spatial AI capability that interprets raw depth and imagery to identify objects, surfaces, and layout within an environment. Instead of just detecting a chair in a 2D photo, 3D scene understanding figures out where the chair is in space, how big it is, and how it relates to surrounding Spatials such as walls, doors, or people. This understanding lets VR Spatials and AR Spatials interact realistically with rooms-sitting on tables, hiding behind pillars, or avoiding obstacles. Platforms such as Spatials.aiTM incorporate 3D scene understanding into their mapping pipelines so that their Spatial data layer contains semantically meaningful Spatials, not just anonymous geometry.
